But how does Crowny plan to attract the right audience to its platform? By directly targeting businesses and converting them into clients.
You may be wondering why Crowny isn't targeting individual consumers instead. It's important to note that when trying to achieve mass adoption, targeting individual consumers may not be the most efficient approach. By onboarding B2C companies on our platform we aim to onboard the majority of their community as well so they can start their community marketing campaigns. That means our B2B marketing efforts will eventually result in better consumer adoption. And not just any type of consumers, but the most relevant ones for our concept to perform well: community members of the brands in our app.
Of course, this doesn't mean that Crowny ignores other audiences. On the contrary, every communication and interaction with client communities, crypto enthusiasts, and the Crowny community all contribute to reaching the end goal of growing our platform.
The product development phase of Crowny
For a successful release of the Crowny App, it’s essential that there are several programs available for app users. This requires extensive preparation in advance, combined with a lot of collaborative effort between us and our partners. We’ve been working hard to discuss, process, iterate, and work out different scenarios to ensure that our platform meets the highest standards. It’s been a time-consuming process, but we’re confident that our platform’s release will be the start of something truly spectacular.

Research & testing
Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard to complete the first version of our platform and meet the high standards we set for ourselves. Conducting extensive testing with not only the Crowny community but also with industry-leading businesses, blockchain pioneers, marketing technology experts, experienced advisors, and entrepreneurs ensures our platform is the best it can be. By conducting field research like in-depth interviews and A/B tests, we’ve gained invaluable insights that have led to several changes in our software.
For the Crowny Platform to be adopted on a massive scale, it’s essential that we have a proper product-market fit. While there are many different industries where Crowny can provide value, it’s important for us to focus on a more narrow target audience. This puts us in a position to work towards seamless integration with the existing tech- and marketing toolkits. By being an easy-to-add addition to existing kits, the barrier for businesses to adopt Crowny in their strategy becomes lower. In the midst of this landscape, Web3 e-commerce is emerging as a revolutionary new way of doing business. Web3 e-commerce refers to the use of blockchain technology to create better online experiences. Web3 e-commerce adoption: Crowny SDK/API vs Shopify Plugin
Recently, one of our community members asked us if we have considered creating an SDK (software development kit) or an API (application programming interface) to facilitate widgets and/or deeper integration. Great questions result in great answers, so here goes.
In theory, providing an SDK and/or API could increase Crowny's reach, as adding new features makes the platform more appealing to more companies and thus would improve the odds of accelerated adoption. However, what should be kept in mind is that the additional reach as a result of implementing this feature can vary greatly. Having an SDK/API will limit our reach to companies that have their own tech team or the ability to hire one, meaning they would need to have access to sufficient funds, but also technical knowledge. As you can imagine, it is pretty difficult to outsource tech when you don't know how to formulate the assignment.
Essentially, the driving element for us to provide our own SDK/API would be to give companies the ability to reward a user for performing a valuable action within their own context. This a great idea, but it does not necessarily require an SDK or an API. Instead, we opted for building a Shopify plugin. Compared to the reach we would potentially be getting with an SDK or API, the expected reach of implementing a Shopify plugin would be far greater. The number of companies with the technical knowledge and funds to implement our SDK or API is relatively small. There are almost 1M Shopify stores in the USA alone. Every single one of these stores will have the ability to integrate Crowny with a 'single click'!

When thinking about potential adoption for Crowny, think beyond the crypto ecosystem. Blockchain is a great technology and it powers everything we have built, but 'crypto' as an industry is not the only industry we tap into.
